Sveta Nedjelja is situated at the south coast of the island Hvar. It is 6 kilometres far away from Zavala, and 12 kilometres from the town Hvar. In this place there live about 130 inhabitants who are mostly engaged in viticulture, olive-growing and tourism. Vrboska is a small town with a typical Dalmatian appearance. It lies in a narrow and deeply indented bay in the middle part of the northern coast of the island of Hvar. Vrboska was formerly a fishing village with a tradition, on which also the unique fishing museum shows. In the center was founded in 1580, the fortress church of St. Mary. From the roof of the church there is a wide and magnificent view of the surrounding area, which spreads out into the Meeresweite. The parish church of Sv. Lovrijenac in the 16th Century was built, has gained its current appearance in the Baroque period.
